Feeling Blue

It seems that Australians have the blues.  Despite the fact that we have brilliant blue skies for much of the year, great weather most of the time, low levels of unemployment, a great lifestyle etc etc a recent study by Bupa Healthcare has revealed that Australians are depressed.
Did you wake up this morning feeling blue?

Decipher the Colour-Coding of the Berries

We all love berry colours. They are fresh, bright, feminine and delicious. Have you ever wondered, however, what do these dazzling red, blue, purple and orange mean?

Spring Berry Recipe: Strawberry

Strawberries are the first fruit to ripen in the spring.  Native forms of strawberries adapt to various climates and are indigenous to every major continent except Africa, Australia and New Zealand.  They are well known for their high nutritional value and medicinal properties. They are rich in folate, Vitamin C and silicon, which are very useful for aterial and all connective tissue repair.  Also, strawberries can help strenghen the teeth and gums and help remove tartar.  You can cut a strawberry in half and rub onto the teeth and gums, leave on for 45 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Colour Flow Analysis

I have kept looking for a color system that feels right for me. All of the palettes I've seen match a little but don't feel a complete fit. The flow system seems just right.

Can your seasons change?

Can ageing affect how the colour palettes appear on us?

As I've become older I've felt less comfortable with the Spring palette. The characteristic of a Spring is clarity and contrast and I feel I've become more muted over time. My eyes are less green and more hazel.

Colour Me Purple

Today my colour of the day is purple. What a lovely little purple patch of colour in the garden.  In my workplace the whole front garden has been planted in green, white and purple because because these are women's colours. What do these colours represent?

The original colour seasons

I was first colour analysed in the 1980's as a Spring. Then there were 4 options, Winter, Summer Spring and Autumn. The main expert was Carol Jackson and her book Color me beautiful.

Sample of four season palettes.
